What are DOT physicals?

Department of Transportation Medical Examinations, or 'DOT Physicals' for short, are a requirement for commercial motor vehicle drivers, mandated by federal law.  The purpose is to screen for physical, mental, and emotional issues that can have a negative impact on a drivers ability to be safe on the road.

Due to regulations, DOT physicals can only be given by certified medical examiners.
